Help us make a difference for the cats and kittens of Las Vegas and find 'fur-ever' homes. We have several programs available to help serve the community. Specifically:

National Doctors' Day: Click here for more information

Nursing Kits: Every kitten season we get tons of newborn or young (less than six weeks old) kittens. We have created a Nursing Kit and make it available to the public who run across situations like this all the time. Should you wish to care for the babies on your own, the kit is $20; should you wish to bring the babies to us at Homeward Bound but it will be a day or so before you can, the cost of the kit is refundable as long as all items are replaced/restored to their original condition. Click here to email us for more information and to arrange to pick up a Nursing Kit.

"The animals are as much teachers as patients,

setting forth life lessons that resonate long
after they are gone."
~ Susan Marino

We've been around for a long time and we've done alot. Much of what we've done we've had to phase out due to lack in volunteer support, but that doesn't mean that we're not proud of the programs we've created to help cats and kittens get adopted. Check out our past successes!

We learned early on that the easiest way to communicate with the community about the importance of spaying and neutering their pets wasn't by boring them with speeches or killing trees with flyers which no one ever has time to review. Instead, we had a ragdoll kitty and he and Homeward Bound's co-founder would go out and talk at schools, libraries, and pet shows. We started training him to walk on a leash and harness at 4 months and he was formally registered as a therapy petjust after his first birthday and continued until he was 3 years old. Here he is at one of the pet expos with Lee, that's Valentino. After 100s of cats and kittens fostered by Lee, Valentino was the first she formally adopted.
